Association of Bulgarian Ports, Port Operators and Concessioners /ABPPOC/ is established in 2001 and seated in the town of Burgas with secretary in Varna. It is a non-government organization whose purpose is to support, promote, represent and protect the interests of its members, as well as to contribute to the development of the national and international economical cooperation and the establishment of loyal relations in the Bulgarian shipping business.

Association of Bulgarian Ports, Port Operators and Concessioners /ABPPOC/ participates in the development of national programs for promoting the shipping business, presents to the respective state authorities draft-laws, statements and observes their application in the maritime field. It supports and promotes the activity of its members for improving the management and increasing the effectiveness of the shipping business.

Members of ABPPOC are port operators, concessioners, representatives of marine technologies, etc. Association of Bulgarian Ports, Port Operators and Concessioners participates in the development of national programs for promoting the shipping business, presents to the respective state authorities draft-laws, statements and observes their application in the maritime field.It supports and promotes the activity of its members for improving the management and increasing the effectiveness of the shipping business.

It contributes to the greater participation of companies in the international maritime economic cooperation and to the promoting of the shipping business in the country. Membership in ABPPOC is voluntary.

Regular members of ABPPOC can be legal persons, physical persons, unions and associations engaged in the shipping business. State organizations, syndicates, political parties, and religious organizations can become members of ABPPOC because of its specific character. Persons and organizations can be admitted to membership of ABPPOC on the grounds of a written request.

ABPPOC managind bodies are: General Meeting (GM) Board of Directors (BD)

The General meeting can adopt and/or make amendment, fix the amount of the membership fee, elect members of BD, elect a Chairman of BD. ABPPOC provides for its means of support from a membership fee, service fees, and donations.
